Eligibility and Schedule

Eligibility:

  • Candidates of Lagos State origin who chose LASU as their first choice in the 2024 UTME and scored a minimum of 195.

Registration Period:

  • Start Date: Monday, 1st July 2024
  • End Date: Thursday, 1st August 2024

Verification Interview:

  • Start Date: Monday, 8th July 2024
  • End Date: Thursday, 1st August 2024

Important Notes

  • The Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee admission into LASU.
  • Candidates must be cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) before being considered for admission.

Phases of the Screening Exercise

  • First Phase: Monday, 8th July 2024 – Thursday, 11th July 2024
  • Second Phase: Monday, 15th July 2024 – Thursday, 18th July 2024
  • Third Phase: Monday, 22nd July 2024 – Thursday, 25th July 2024
  • Fourth Phase: Monday, 29th July 2024 – Thursday, 1st August 2024

Method of Application

  1. Make payment online to the LASU account through this link.
  2. Complete the registration process on the LASU portal.

General Information

  1. Only candidates of Lagos State origin are eligible for screening and must be cleared by the IIVC.
  2. The interview will be held at the following venues:
    • Ikeja Division: Sociology Classroom, opposite University Health Centre
    • Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education
    • Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
    • Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
    • Epe Division: School of Transport
  3. Old applicants for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic sessions who have not been offered admission must revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at LASU with payment.
  4. All Direct Entry applicants who are of Lagos State origin must participate in this verification exercise before being considered for admission.
