UTME Admission:

  • Qualifications:
    • GCE, O/L, SSCE (WAEC), NECO, NABTEB with minimum of 5 credits including English Language and Mathematics.
    • Candidates must have applied to JAMB and changed their first choice to JABU.
    • Awaiting results can apply if results will be available by September.

Programmes and Requirements:

  1. College of Agricultural Sciences:
    • B. Agric. Options:
      • Agricultural Economics and Extension Services
      • Animal Science and Production
      • Crop Science and Production
      • Soil Science and Management
    • B.Sc. Food Science and Technology
    • Requirements: 5 credits including English, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, and Economics. Pass in Physics is acceptable.
  2. College of Environmental Sciences:
    • B. Arc. Architecture
    • B.Sc. Estate Management
    • Requirements:
      • For Architecture, Estate Management: 5 credits including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one from Geography, Fine Art, Economics, Technical Drawing, Building Construction, Biology, Agric Science.
      • For Urban and Regional Planning, Geography: 5 credits including English, Mathematics, Geography, and two other subjects.
  3. College of Humanities:
    • B.A. English
    • B.A. History and International Studies
    • B.A. Philosophy and Religious Studies
    • Requirements: 5 credits including English and 4 other Arts/Social Science subjects. Specific subject requirements for each program.
  4. College of Natural Sciences:
    • B.Sc. Biochemistry
    • B.Sc. Computer Science
    • B.Sc. Microbiology
    • B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry
    • B.Sc. Physics Electronics
    • Requirements:
      • For Biochemistry: 5 credits including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
      • For Microbiology: Agricultural Science acceptable in lieu of Biology.
      • For Computer Science: 5 credits including English, Mathematics, Physics, and one from Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Geography.
      • For Physics Electronics: Same as Computer Science.
  5. College of Social Sciences:
    • B.Sc. Economics
    • B.Sc. International Relations
    • B.Sc. Mass Communication
    • B.Sc. Political Science
    • Requirements:
      • For Economics: 5 credits including English, Mathematics, Economics, and 2 other Arts/Social Science subjects.
      • For Political Science: 5 credits including English, Government/History, and 3 other subjects. Pass in Mathematics required.
      • For Mass Communication: 5 credits including English and Literature in English. Pass in Mathematics required.
  6. College of Management Sciences:
    • B.Sc. Accounting
    • B.Sc. Business Administration
    • B.Sc. Entrepreneurship
    • B.Sc. Industrial Relation and Human Resources Management
    • B.Sc. Insurance
    • Requirements:
      • For Business Administration, Insurance, Entrepreneurship, Accounting: 5 credits including English, Mathematics, Economics, and 2 other Arts/Social Science subjects.
      • For Industrial Relation and Human Resources Management: 5 credits including Mathematics and English.
  7. College of Law:
    • Bachelor of Law (LL.B) Hons

    • B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Science
    • B.Sc. Nursing

Direct Entry Admission Requirements:

  • 5 relevant credit passes at WASC (SSCE), NECO, or equivalent subjects, with 2 at ‘A’ Level.
  • OND with Upper Credit or NCE at Credit level from recognized institutions.
  • JABU Diploma or equivalent from recognized Universities.

Method of Application

  1. Visit JABU Application Portal.
  2. Create a student account by filling out the form and clicking “Create Account.” A valid email address is required.
  3. Activate your account via the link sent to your email.
  4. Log in with your student details.
  5. Complete your bio-data and upload all required documents in JPEG format.
  6. Check your email for further instructions on the screening date.
