The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) Set To Resume Lectures
The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has signaled that classes will soon resume on its campuses. This was stated in a circular that the institution’s management released on Monday, September 26, 2022.
According to the circular, the Federal Ministry of Education’s directive ordering vice chancellors to reopen schools and permit students to resume lectures was the reason the institution was prepared to start academic activities at the University.
Sam Onazi, the NUC’s Director of Finance and Accounts, signed the order on the commission’s behalf as the executive secretary.
Vice chancellors, pro chancellors, and chairmen of governing councils of federal universities were instructed in the letter to “Ensure that ASUU members, immediately, resume/commence lectures; restore the daily activities and routines of the various university campuses.”
As a result, the Federal University of Lafia’s management released an action plan in accordance with the directive in order to mobilize financial and material resources, carry out sanitation and fumigation within the campuses, repair damaged facilities, and host Senate and Congregation meetings to prepare the campuses for the eventual return of students on October 10, 2022.
