Protest breaks out at University of Ibadan school gate; Today, February 6, there was a commotion at the University of Ibadan main gate as a group of protesters protesting the economic hardship that Nigeria is currently experiencing blocked the school entrance and hindered vehicular and pedestrian movement.
The university’s communication officer, Mrs. Adejoke Akinpelu, commented on the situation and said that the demonstrators were not actual students of the institution because they were too busy studying for exams to participate.
She characterized the protesters as troublemakers who joined together to generate issues.
