The National Grid has experienced its third collapse in just one week, with power generation abruptly shutting down at 8:16 a.m. on Saturday, October 19. Earlier in the morning, power generation stood at 3,042 megawatts, reaching a peak of 3,968MW by 7 a.m., before plummeting to a mere 47MW by 9 a.m.

This marks the third major disruption, following similar incidents on Monday and Tuesday earlier this week. Although power was eventually restored after the previous outages, the exact cause of this latest collapse remains unclear. The power allocation to distribution companies dropped to 0.00MW, leaving the country once again in a state of uncertainty over electricity supply.

Authorities have yet to provide an explanation for the repeated grid failures this week.
