Prof. Marietu Tenuche, Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University, Anyigba, has been taken to the Kogi State High Court by the institution’s Alumni Association over the alleged diversion of N31 million destined for the organization.
The association, in a motion filed at the court, asked the court to restrain the university from holding any council meeting without the inclusion of the alumni pending the hearing and determination of the substantive matter before the court.
The motion also sought an order prohibiting the institution from unlawfully taking funds from all banks employed in alumni fund-collecting.
The alumni organization claimed that approximately N31 million was siphoned from the alumni fund under the supervision of the vice-chancellor for other uses.
