FUNAAB Donates Emergency Beds to FMC Abeokuta to Boost Emergency Response
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has made a significant contribution to healthcare in Ogun State by donating four single-crank emergency beds to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Abeokuta. This gesture is aimed at enhancing the hospital’s capacity to manage emergency cases effectively.
The donation, presented by Dr. Oluseyi Anjorin, the acting director of FUNAAB Health Services, serves as a token of appreciation for the swift and efficient medical care consistently provided by FMC Abeokuta to FUNAAB’s staff and students. Dr. Anjorin emphasized that the contribution is a way for the university to express gratitude for the hospital’s vital support during medical emergencies.
The beds are expected to boost FMC’s ability to accommodate and treat more patients in critical conditions, ensuring high-quality care for both the university community and the general public.
Receiving the beds, Dr. Adekunle Ashimi, the Chief Medical Officer of the Accident and Emergency Unit at FMC, expressed heartfelt thanks to FUNAAB, highlighting that the beds will significantly improve the hospital’s emergency response capabilities.
This initiative forms part of FUNAAB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, underscoring the university’s commitment to supporting healthcare services in Ogun State and strengthening ties between the institution and healthcare providers. Through this donation, FUNAAB continues to play a key role in promoting the well-being of the local community.
