Black Good Friday in Rivers as gunmen attack, kill cop
PORT HARCOURT: A police officer was killed by gunmen who raided a section of the oil-rich city on Good Friday, turning the day somber.
According to reports, the unidentified gunmen infiltrated the Port Harcourt City Local Government Area in the state’s Marine Base neighborhood and attacked a police checkpoint.
Also, it was discovered that the irate thieves shot the cop before running away.
According to the command’s public relations officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, CP Effiong Okon, the commissioner of police, has sent out tactical teams and other clever units with the goal of apprehending the criminals and prosecuting them.
