ASUU accuses IBBU of abandoning the strike.
On Tuesday, August 30, the management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, Niger State, directed its staff to withdraw from the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
This decision did not sit well with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) IBBU chapter leadership, who have declared that they will not obey the resumption directives.
Dr. Kudu Dangana, ASUU chapter chairman, told a news outlet that the ongoing national strike had not been suspended and that a letter of extension of the strike had already been given to university management.
He went on to say that any student who follows the resumption directives is wasting his or her money and time, and is only going to see the university campus.
