When I first streamed the Lungu Boy Album, I was like naaa

Hear me out, I badly wanted 2023 Asake with Afrobeats and dancehall fusions but that isn’t how to consume music I suppose. This new album gives us that, trust me – you have to take a break off Twitter takes and listen to the gem that Asake created.

Before I list my top 5 choices from the album, I hope I have been forgiven…

1. My number one is that intro! That Asa-infused Intro is mad!!! Asa, Asake, you are a bad boy, very bad boy.
2. Active with Travis Scott!
3. Wiz and Asake are a perfect combination – maybe because they are perfect for everyone too, so makes sense they’ll be perfect for each other. So MMS does it for me for number 3
4. Suru, not a Stormzy fan, but there’s something about that Jam that feels just right
5. We’ve had Wave long enough to appreciate Asake’s magic on it. Def something I’ll be listening to without skipping.

 

This list doesn’t mean other songs on the album are bad, I just love these ones best, and I am sure the others will grow on me  I just have one question, who is Ludmilla??
