35 programs at Ibadan Poly are accredited by NBTE.

The National Board for Technical Education received notification that all 35 of the programs The Polytechnic, Ibadan, submitted have been accredited (NBTE).

The registrar, Modupe Fawale, revealed this in a statement on Thursday as reported by Student Village

Many of the courses offered, according to the institution, attracted enormous sums of money to buy and upgrade facilities to meet the standards and quality assurance of the NBTE.

It stated that between April 19 and April 23, the NBTE paid a visit to the institution with experts and organizations from all over the nation to ensure program quality assurance.

The polytechnic claims that in a letter dated May 27 and addressed to Kazeem Adebiyi, the polytechnic’s rector, the NBTE informed him of the findings of its inspection.

It was further stated that the programs would require another accreditation within the following five years.

The polytechnic gave assurances to the public, NBTE, students, and prospective students that they “will adhere to all details and advice offered during the accreditation to ensure that the institution retains its position as foremost in Nigeria.”

The accredited programs are HND Building Technology, P-HND Urban and Regional Planning, ND Building Technology, HND Building Technology, HND Surveying, Geo-informatics, ND Estate Management and Evaluation, ND Quantity Surveying, ND Library and Information Science, ND Music Technology, HND Music Technology, HND Sculpture, HND Graphics, HND Ceramics, and ND Textile.

ND Computer Engineering Technology, HND Civil Engineering Technology, ND Science Laboratory Technology, HND Science Laboratory Technology (Biology/Microbiology Option), HND Science Laboratory Technology (Microbiology Option), HND Science Laboratory Technology (Physics/Electronics Option), and others are also available.
