Eligibility
The competition is open to young individuals aged 18 to 35 years. You can participate if you have a new business idea or are running a business registered no later than 2 years before 2nd September 2024. If your business is registered, its annual revenue must not exceed ₦1 million.
Judging Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on several key criteria:
- Business Relevance and Feasibility: How well does your business fit into the agricultural sector, and can it realistically be developed?
- Resource Management and Financial Projections: Provide a solid plan for managing resources with practical financial projections.
- Community Impact: Demonstrate how your business will positively influence the community.
- Technology Use: Showcase effective use of technology in your business.
- Unique Solution to an Existing Problem: Present a creative and unique solution for a challenge in agriculture.
How to Apply
To enter the competition:
- Prepare a business plan or pitch document for an investment of ₦500,000 (a guide template is optional).
- Create a 1-minute video introducing your business idea.
- Post the video on a social media platform, using the hashtag #500kagribusiness and tag Agroye’s official social media account.
- Complete the competition entry form available on the Agroye website.
- Submit the link to your video and upload your business plan.
All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM WAT on 12th October 2024. Late entries will not be accepted.
