BSU Preliminary Vocational & Technical Studies admission Forms 2021/2022 Session; For admission to the Preliminary Vocational and Technical Studies Program at the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, Faculty of Education, Benue State University, Makurdi for the 2021–2022 academic Session, applications are being accepted from candidates who meet the necessary qualifications.

2. Entry qualifications:
To qualify for admission, candidates must meet general and specific requirements for the individual pre-VTS area of specialization.
a. General entry requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) credits in any of the following: SSCE, GCE, NTC, NBC, C&G I or II, Federal Craft Training Certificate TCII, or any other qualification the University may deem comparable.
A credit in the English Language is compulsory.
b. Specific Requirements:
i. Business Education
In addition to the standard university entry requirements, candidates must have credits in English language mathematics, any other three subjects from courses relating to the social sciences and business studies, and economics from business studies courses taken at the SC/GCE/WASSCE/RSA level (Stage ii intermediate)
ii. Computer Education:
Four credits level passes including Mathematics, English language, physics,
Chemistry and Biology in SSCE/NTC/GCE O` level Examination.
iii. Home economics:
Four credits in English language, mathematics, Biology, and any two of the following subjects: Home Management (clothing and Textiles) Food Nutrition, Chemistry, Agricultural Science and Economics WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/O`level/NTC.
iv. Technology Education:
Candidates must hold a Federal Craft Certificate or NTC NBC with a minimum of four credits in WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/O’level. This comprises credits in technological subjects including Woodwork, Metalwork, and Electronic/Electrical Installation, as well as English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any one of the Social Sciences.
3. Duration: Two Semesters
4. Method of application:
A five thousand naira (5,000) application fee must be paid by interested candidates utilizing the Pay Direct service of their preferred bank. Then, upon presentation of proof of payment of the application fee, obtained from the University’s Bursary Department, application forms may be collected from the Coordinator, Pre-VTS (pre-vocational and technical studies) office.
