Admission Information:
Applications are now open for the School of Foundation Studies at UNILAG. Successful candidates who pass the JUPEB examination may gain direct entry into the second year of undergraduate programmes at UNILAG or partner universities, including institutions in the UK and China such as the University of Birmingham, University of Nottingham, and University of Aberdeen.

Admission Requirements:
To be eligible for admission, you must have at least five credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other relevant subjects, obtained in one sitting at the SSCE/WASSC, GCE/O/L, or NECO examinations.
Application Procedure:
- Visit the School of Foundation Studies website to access the application form.
- Click on “School of Foundation Studies” under the prospective student’s menu.
- Complete the Pre-Application Form to obtain a Payment Reference Number (PRN).
- Pay ₦35,000 (excluding bank charges) at any commercial bank in Nigeria using the PRN.
- Return to the application site, log in with the PRN as your username and your surname in lowercase as the password.
- Complete the application form and print two copies for your records.
- Your examination pass will be available online a week before the exam date. Print a copy for yourself.
Important Dates:
- Application Opens: Monday, May 13, 2024
- Application Closes: Friday, September 6, 2024
- Entrance Examination: Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Distance Learning Institute (DLI), University of Lagos
Examination Details:
The entrance examination will be a computer-based test with:
- Mathematics: 20 questions
- English Language: 20 questions
- Three other relevant subjects: 15 questions each
Total of 85 questions to be answered in 45 minutes. Candidates choosing Mathematics as one of their three subjects must include Further Mathematics in the exam.
Results:
Merit admission results will be released on the UNILAG website.

Admission into undergraduate programmes at UNILAG is subject to the approved capacity for each programme. Success in the JUPEB examination does not guarantee admission to your preferred course. Additional testing or measures may be conducted to finalize the admission list. UNILAG enforces a zero-tolerance policy towards drug abuse, sexual harassment, cultism, cybercrime, examination misconduct, indecent dressing, and other antisocial behaviors.
